My son attended Smart Start from preschool-kinder. We had the best experience from the supportive director to the loving and patient teachers. My son still talks about SS often and has very fond memories from attending. SS prepared him for elementary school, socially and academically. I recommend this preschool to all Livermore + beyond families.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely loved this school! My daughter started here when she was not even 2 years old, and she graduated this year at 4.5 as she gets ready to start TK. It has been such a wonderful journey watching her learn and grow here. The teachers are amazing—so caring, patient, and genuinely engaged with the kids. I especially loved how thoughtfully they plan activities, teach the children so many different things, and make every festival and celebration special and fun. We had the best experience and always felt that our daughter was in loving and caring hands. Rebecca is wonderful, and we are so grateful to her and all the teachers for everything they have done for our daughter over the years. So many beautiful memories and so much gratitude. ❤️ We truly loved being part of this school and would highly recommend it to other families!

We've had the absolute best experience at Smart Start in Livermore for preschool! My covid-baby started when she was 3 and we loved the classes so much, we started our babyboy when he was 18 months. My kids have really socially thrived there and they learn SO quickly how to write their names, letters/numbers, etc. Smart Start's Director engages with the local school system to understand where they want students to be at when they come into TK/Kindergarten, so the teachers at the preschool do a great job at preparing the kids to transition into Elementary school. The prices are the most affordable in the area, and you will NOT be disappointed. If you have a newborn and are considering options, get your name on their list because there is high demand.

My kids are really happy at Smart Start and we've had a great experience there. The teachers are all warm and caring, and very creative with all their activities. The school is well run by the director Rebecca, and I really like the lack of bureaucracy- she’s super accessible and approachable. Tuition is competitive too and the student to teacher ratio is better than other schools I looked at. The school has a nice community feel to it- i.e. the family potlucks a few times a year, and a Christmas show that truly blew me away with its incredible production value!
