We had a lovely time at The Garden Museum! The event we attended was at May Nissen Park in Livermore, but there are pop-up events throughout the Tri-Valley & Bay Area at local parks. There were a few sensory stations laid out, and all had beautiful and thoughtful setups. It was clear a lot of intentional thinking went into this by the owner, Jessica. For instance, a little tree that kids could slide beads onto, a large sensory bin for scooping up little trinkets, and a play-doh station with rollers that imprinted forest scenery onto the play-doh. I especially enjoyed the low-key, community feel of the event. Because of the sensory play, kids were playing pretty quietly and it gave me a chance to talk to other adults, which is always a treat! It was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning and then it being at a park, my girls were happy to run off and play at the park after the event.
